Comments: I lived in Rifle in 1980-1983 and worked at the Union Oil shale oil project. I believe a
Mr. Bill Stroud taught my husband, son and I Karate, we used to meet at one of the elementary schools in Rifle. We lived in a 3 story condo, just below the high school. I am trying to reach this gentleman, or his family since I have not mailed him a letter since 1990. We also took classes at Colorado Mountain College. I am not even sure of the last name, but I know his first name was Bill and he was a contractor who live in the next town over from Rifle, which had a nice little country restaurant. We loved the area and wish were back there again. I currently am a member of the Summerville Elks 2719, which is about 30 miles from Charleston. Please, love to hear from any members of your lodge.
