Veterans' Day 2011

The Cub Scouts did a presentation to Veterans on Veterans Day of a Home made flag along with a speech.  The veterans were very touched by the flag and the impressiveness of the troop.  The kids also interacted with the Vets and introduced themselves .

Elks Americanism Essay contest for 2011

These are the kids that participated in this yrs Elks Americanism Essay contest for 2011 and we had a total of 103 kids this year from the Rifle Lodge#2195.  Meeker is new this year and had 56 kids participate and I gave them each a certificate of participation and a Drug Awareness Goodie bag.  Rifle had a total of 12 Kids participate and they as well received the same.  Parachute had had 40 kids participate.  The kids from Rifle were, Payton Phillips, Joshua Motillo, Aria Troupe, Joseph Dean, Luis Gomez, Allison Burwell, Jayme Carlson, Gemma Sanchez, Morgan Brown, Lucy Bruner, McKenzie Diaz, and Christian Straw.  The Lodge Representatives are Tom Fisher, Esteemed Loyal Knight, and Esteemed Leading Knight, Paul Huffman.

Colorado's Most Valuable Student Class of 2011

Here are the names and sponsoring Lodges of Colorado's Most Valuable Student Class of 2011 sent to me by PDDGER Max Huffman, Chairman of the CEA Youth Activities Committee.  Our congratulations to all of the members of this year's class, and a special thank you to each of the students who entered the contest. Grateful thanks goes also to all those in the Lodges, the Districts, and at the State level who gave so freely of their time and dedication to judge this year's applications.
